ADERLATING/NEKRASOV
split LP

Genre: noise/black ambient

"Foul and utterly terrifying split LP between Australian noise terrorists NEKRASOV and our old pal Mories (Gnaw Their Tongues, De Magia Veterum) with more oppressive new material from another of his noiseterror projects, ADERLATING. Limited to 300 copies only, on translucent dark green with silver splatter wax.

...Black metal, dark noise and ambient sub-musical territories. Australian one-man unit NEKRASOV embraces Nothing as a state and rejects Nothing as a value. The hell unleashed by the unit here is severely haunting, a lone track clocking in at a mammoth 24:42
And that's all before you even get to the wretched B-side of the split. From within the same dimly-lit hate cellar and born of the same dismal mind as Gnaw Their Tongues, the cavernous suffocation delivered by ADERLATING bursts forth with low frequency horror, nausea-inducing 20khz drones, fistfucking distorted tape-hiss and raped soundscapes, while the lowest and vilest of demons provide a diabolical orchestration. This is purely demented, scathing, metallic bliss." - Chrome Leaf.

Nekrasov side is way less ultra harsh than some of his other material. Cool split from a relatively new label

Tracklisting:
A1 Nekrasov "Qualities of being Futile and Valueless" [24:42]
B1 Aderlating "Chalic of Abalam" [10:15]
B2 Aderlating "Ritus Orgia Sanqin" [6:24]
B3 Aderlating "Dog Semen" [6:23]
VERY LIMITED STOCK.

ALUK TODOLO
'Finsternis' LP

Genre: black metal/noise/experimental

Aluk Todolo are a recondite creature. Part okkult black metal fiend and part snide kraut menace. Somehow the doppelganger works and Finsternis proves for a second time there is brilliance in the absence of light. Dry, spare percussion grievously mines the scrapes, shrieks and shimmer of mutated guitar and bass. Finsternis is the German word for eclipse, mimetic of cyclic elements, phases and unphases, endless rebeginnings, broken circles and perfect circles. A dangerous, noxious coil of all things black.

"As the music of Aluk Todolo, is disarmingly simple, subtle and minimal, but in its minimalism, lies its power. The power of rhythm, of texture, of mood, these five long pieces are so evocative, so expressive and strangely emotional. Even at its most spare and skeletal, the sound is palpable, almost a physical presence, which is surprising again considering just how stripped down Finsternis actually is." - Aquarius Records

AUN / HABSYLL
split LP

Genre:blackened psychedelic doom
"AUN (Montreal, Canada) has a back catalog rich with harmonic drone, sepulchral ambience and of thick detuned guitar vistas. For this split, AUN ventures into new territory. "Druids" plays like 70's space rock on bad acid, where dissonant tones and hallucinogenic melodies slam head-first into slow, pounding beats. Texture and rhythm collide to create a dark unworldly psychedelia. "Fall Out" continues the space-y vibe, blending rhythm, bass, guitar and acidic noise shards, seemingly taking some cues from the late 60's New-York underground and mid 70's Germany.

HABSYLL is something much more than a metal band or a doom band, it's almost like twentieth century classical played with downtuned guitars and massive drums. So much space, the notes and drum beats miles apart, the drums not so much beats and rhythms (although those do pop up occasionally) as brief explosions or percussive squalls, more for dynamics and texture, or if they are actually engaged in some sort of actual beat, it's mind bendingly abstract and extended and slow to the point of hovering around 2 or 3 bpm. Think Khanate, Monarch, Moss, Bunkur, Fleshpress? You're already thinking too fast, too structured, too riffy. This is some excessive extremist radical dooooooooom, the sort of chug and plod and buzz and bombinate that makes the rest of those bands sound like speed metal. Total pressing of 500 for the US and Europe, we have gold vinyl available which is limited to 250 copies!" - Conspiracy.
Excellent release, split between Public Guilt and Conspiracy. I have gold vinyl available right now. The AUN material is a perfect precursor to the forthcoming AB vinyl release which features live drums from none other than Away of VOIVOD!!

BLACK BONED ANGEL
'The Witch Must Be Killed' LP

Genre:blackened psychedelic doom
"Builds on Black Boned Angels initial premise of 'do nothing, very loud, for a long time, better than other people'. Perhaps the best example thus far and in spite of the obviously extreme-metal reference points, these two 'songs' (yes, they ARE songs) come across as decidedly 'beautiful'. More than a passing nod to Judas Priest also. Limited to 500 copies" - Conspiracy.
Not heard any BLACK BONED ANGEL in a while and was shocked how killer this is. Really great, multi layered and textural. Sounds massive.

CONAN
'Horseback Battle Hammer' LP

Genre:Caveman Battle Doom

The excellent LP (on Throne Records), 180g black vinyl, heavyweight sleeve with metallic ink.

CONAN are a Caveman Battle Doom trio from the grim North of England. They summon the heavy riff from the ungodly land and crush the skull of the unbeliever with their low end doom assault. Waves of sludge and galloping crust passages overwhelm the unwary.

'Horseback Battle Hammer' is comprised of four long and crushing tracks recorded at Wales' mighty Foel Studio (Hawkwind, Electric Wizard, Godflesh etc.) The sound is monolithic, and clearly the band made the very best use of this legendary studio to get remearkable results from their custom made gear for a truly crushing debut release. Combining excellent production values, deadly riffs and a unique vocal style, ÔHorseback Battle HammerÕ stays with the listener like a fresh wound. With artwork by Tony Roberts (Electric Wizard, Unearthly Trance, Cathedral, etc.), Conan have set in stone the majesty of their arrival. The CD will be released on Aurora Borealis in April. The LP will ship from 25th March 2010.

DEADWOOD
'Ramblack' LP

Genre: noise/death ambient

'Ramblack' is the follow up to Deadwood's successful 2005 album "8 19" (CSR53CD). Over the past 3 years this Swedish artist has been toiling away, creating a new black ambient / death noise masterpiece and 'Ramblack' is the result. Cloaked in a more raw and morbid sound then its predecessor, this album truly changes ones perspective of audial darkness. This analogue beast of an album layers the tonal prayers of demons and the distorted cries of angels, sickness and depravity. True Death Electronics. The soundtrack to your end. 'Ramblack' features guest vocals from Norwegian Black Metal legend Maniac (Skitliv, ex-Mayhem), whose vocal approach on the song 'Forakt' shows the full range of his capacity. Truly one of the most sick and twisted pieces of sonic art ever recorded. Enjoy the disease!
Vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies on coloured vinyl with 4 tracks from the main CD album and a 15+ minute exclusive track, 'Cell Of Sirclin'. Good album, nice format. Hand numbered.

GNAW THEIR TONGUES
'To Rend Each Other Like Wild Beasts, Till Earth Shall Reek With Midnight Massacre' LP

Genre: black metal/black noise

"OOP album from the most sick, depraved musical nihilist currently active in the underground! After the almost orthodox black metal of GTT's last At War release, the amazing "Genocidal Deliverance" 7", this new full-length album sees a return to the excrutiating slowly-turning thumbscrew approach of old. The layering is totally perfect, and as a whole the record sounds something like a chamber orchestra playing as Gomorrah burns. The world has ended, carrion crows are circling, and Gnaw Their Tongues is playing in the background. His most realised and focussed album yet....brilliant!" - At War With False Noise.

300 copies only. Fully printed inner and outer sleeves in thick stock, black vinyl. TOTALLY OUT OF PRINT - I have a handful of copies.

LOCRIAN
'Territories' LP

Genre: drone/noise/black ambient

"Andre Foisy and Terence Hannum have spent the last several years honing the Locrian sound. They've taken elements from noise, power electronics, drone, and black metal to come up with a truly unique sound reflecting the sprawling urban decay surrounding them in Chicago. After nearly two dozen releases, they've found themselves in the world of Territories. For this release, Locrian has pulled out all the stops and fleshed out the band with the help of Mark Solotroff (Bloodyminded, Anatomy of Habit) on vocals and synthesizers, Blake Judd (Nachtmystium) on guitar, Bruce Lamont (Yakuza) on saxophone and vocals, and Andrew Scherer (Velnias) on drums. The results of this massive collaborative effort are apparent from the moment the album starts. The textures run darker and deeper; the vocals -sometimes three layers deep- seem to be conjured from the decrepit muck of a failed civilization; the feedback takes on a more pronounced presence; and the big band allows for full-on black metal assaults that burst out of the tortured drones Locrian have come to be known for. Truly a case of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts, Territories may well be the most fully realized form of Locrian's dystopic vision." - At War With False Noise.

500 copies, full-colour pro sleeve and insert. Great band, getting greater with each release I think.

Maledicere / Uno Actu
split 7"

Genre:experimental blackened noise
"This release marks an alliance between two underground acts that refuse to define themselves against their peers or compromise the real aesthetic and feeling of their underground art. Maledicere creates a Satanic pulse of harsh dissonance, delivering unearthly tones, and cold reverberations, that purify themselves against the damp basement walls in which they were recorded. Uno Actu creates soundscapes most suitable for a tortured and wondrous isolation, evoking a unique ambiance of chilling, contemplative, overtones; a complex, yet nihilistic trance, for God is Myth Records' first ever vinyl release!" - God Is Myth.
Great release of two astounding and unusual projects from deep underground.

Oppressive, primitive heavy metal - this is a hypnotic ode to the endless serpent from UK ultra doom godz MOSS, pressed on one side of an LP. Mrtyu
'Ornate Shroud' LP

Genre: avant garde / drone / outrock
The first vinyl release for NZ's mysterious Mrtyu as fas as I know, and the first for the Faunasabbatha label. Always been a fan of Mrtyu, from their CD on Campbell Neale's Battlecruiser label, through to their work on 20 Buck Spin. This album sees them/him/it in the most music-like mode thus far to my ears, less ethno drone and tribal racket, more guitar and gaspy vocals (admittedly osunding as though they come from far below the topsoil). A great way to fill this very heavy slab of vinyl, and way beyond the one-listen world of so much of this kind of material that's out there these days on Cdr, lathe cut, sprayed cassette and christ know's what else... I have a very small number of these and would recommend you sort yourself out with one. Nice silkscreen cover too, textured black card wraparound sleeve. Seven tracks of "spiritual destruction and utter evisceration", and apparently MRTYU is the vedic word for the concept of DEATH! Limited to 350 copies. Take a peak under the 'Ornate Shroud'!
Recomended release from an intriguing band.

PRURIENT
'Crossbow' 7"

Genre: noise/experimental

7" single limited to 300 copies - transparent black and yellow vinyl
Prurient (aka noise musician Dominick Fernow) has become one of the most well-known and influential names in the noise field. Anti-technology and anti-electricity. An unconventional use of banging objects together to create music; playing with live wire, pennies, frying pans, toolboxes, scrap metal, and used shotgun shells are an example of some of his instruments he has used before. On this new material sounds and voice gradually emerge, in a distant and threatening outhouse. On dotdotdot records.

SYLVESTER ANFANG II
'Commune Cassetten' LP

Genre:psychedelic rock
"A new slab of wax of tranced out psychotic psychedelic-ness from the occult loving Belgium based clan. This new incarnation being SYLVESTER ANFANG II (as opposed to Silvester Anfang) reached a new level of sheer awesomeness last year with the incredible double LP on Aurora Borealis, on Commume Cassetten they continue their bizarre trip into the darker - but somehow super psychedelic - realm of the occult obsessed mind. There's a real fucked up krautrock boogie vibe throughout but retaining some of the doomed funeral folk qualities of the original Anfang guise, as well as some loose as hell, total stoned out ritualistic baked grooves. The LP comes housed in a techni-colour collaged artwork with a black and white image of a lady, which we can presume is a witch, with a dagger and chalice... a sleeve that really sums up the music enclosed. The sleeves are pro-printed and wrap around the deep black wax which has some sweet full colour labels. This is one hell of a 40 minute trip..."
